Alexandria manager runs for NVAR board of directors

We are proud to announce the candidacy of our very own Maxine McLeod Miller for a seat in the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS® board of directors. The fearless leader of our Alexandria and Fairfax offices is not just a passionate advocate for her fellow northern Virginia REALTORS, but also for the many wonderful causes she supports. But don’t take our word for it—hear from Maxine herself:

What else should you know about Maxine?

Under Maxine’s leadership, the Alexandria office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty consistently places near the top of the company’s leader board, and Maxine herself has won the 2015 Manager of the Year award for the Mid-Atlantic region.

Within NVAR, Maxine has been an active member since she joined the organization. She is currently a member of the Grievance Committee, and has served as chairperson of the Convention Committee and Education Advisory Group, and was vice-chair of the Broker’s Forum.

As if her work and service to her company and industry aren’t enough, Maxine is also an active member of her community. She volunteers for the Junior League of Northern Virginia, Reading is FUNdamental, Sunshine Kids, the PenFed Foundation and her church. Her latest philanthropic endeavor was a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity where she raised $10,000 to build a home for a family in the D.C. metro area.

Maxine wants to use her skills, knowledge and experience to help shape the future of the industry—and this is what’s motivating her to run for a position on the NVAR. If you are a member of NVAR and want someone who has the passion and experience to guide the organization into the future, vote for Maxine. Voting opened on Sept. 5 and will close at noon on October 6.

Go Maxine!
